The National Centre for Physics has started a program to improve the knowledge base and teaching skills of educators at the Masters/BS level. The focus of the program is to address the issues being faced by teachers in concept development and in problem solving as a basic part of physics education. Each Refresher Course consists of 02 Modules. The second Module of third Refresher Course was conducted in July-August, 2025. In continuation, NCP will organize the 1st Module of the Fourth Refresher Course, at its premises, from 13th July to 1st August, 2026. The course will consist of lectures, problem solving sessions, discussions and demonstrations of teaching experiments conducted by experienced faculty members from NCP, QAU, CUI, VU and LUMS.
Topics Covered
- Mathematical Methods
- Classical Mechanics
- Electromagnetism
This will be an intensive course with six hours of interactive sessions each day. Selected participants are expected to engage with full commitment. Performance and active participation will be assessed throughout, and certificates of participation and achievement will be awarded based on these evaluations.
As seats are limited, selection will be based on the applicants' academic background and teaching experience.
